Founded in Fall, 2000 as a 15-piece string ensemble, Mill Valley
Philharmonic (originally Tennessee Valley Orchestra) today includes a music
director/conductor and fifty-five auditioned volunteer musicians playing
strings, winds, brass, timpani and percussion. We present masterworks
and world premieres, engaging both local composers and soloists in our
programs. Innovative programming is a hallmark of Mill Valley
Philharmonic's vision; audience education in an integral component of
all our performances.
