Mill Valley Philharmonic's Free March Concerts
March 16th, 17th and 18th
 
Hindemith, Respighi, and Stravinsky:
Revisiting the Renaissance
 
Igor Stravinsky, Paul Hindemith and Ottorino Respighi were influenced by the dance rhythms of the Renaissance and the Baroque era. Discover how they broke the rules of Renaissance/Baroque rhythmic and tonal vocabularies to form their own unique musical languages. 

Our program includes: 
Symphony of Wind Instruments and Pulcinella by Stravinsky
Nobilissima Visione by Paul Hindemith
Ancient Airs and Dances, Suite 1 by Respighi
